role - Marketing Designer
problem - The WMSE 22nd Annual Rockabilly Chili Fundraiser was looking for a fresh look and new target audience to increase attendance at their event this April and turned to MIAD students to get the job done. The project specs asked for an original campaign including deliverables such as: One 11x17 vertical poster, a series of three billboard mockups Digital (1400x400px) or Traditional (30’x10’), Three digital banner ads, (728x90px, 300x250px, 160x600px), & a website landing page redesign (940px-960px).
solution - My solution for this project was to target families & increase attendance through marketing to larger households rather than the individual. I took it upon myself to create a new mascot that could be easily identifiable for the fundraiser, as well as shining a light as to what the event will include, music & spicy eats. The copy was a large part of this as well, creating the tagline “Face Melting Family Fun” as the overall slogan to base the rest of the copy off of, letting the viewer know what to expect when planning on attending.
