for - Communication Design 2 Course
role - Campaign Designer
problem - For the final project assigned, students were expected to create an exhibit campaign for a show of their choosing that would be shown through the Milwaukee Art Museum. Deliverables included: An exhibit logo, promotional poster, street banners, mailer design, branded exhibit merchandise, & social media post including a motion graphic slide.
solution - For my exhibit, I chose to feature the many famous depictions of women in Art Nouveau advertisements created in the early 1900s entitled "Nothing Nouveau" touching on the repeated use of women in the advertising world to quickly sell more products. In keeping with the illustrative look of the women within the selected artwork featured through my designs. I chose to line-work elements & large flowing typography, adding a modern twist to the visual identity of the exhibit. Leaving room for the beauty of the artwork to breathe against the more minimalist, clean layouts of each design.
