project background - Facilitated through my internship at B&Co. I was brought on to the active project to assist in creating the brand book and branded collateral for The Aviator rooftop bar at Hotel Polaris located in Colorado Springs on the U.S. Air Force Academy campus. The logo suite, color palette, and branded copy were created prior to my start, but the brand book and all supporting elements including typography, graphic elements, layout design, art direction, and photo selection were left to my creative facilitation. Elevated and delicate celestial imagery were the focal point of my design choices to elevate the existing identity and round out the brand in a luxurious but experimental fashion. After designing the brand book, I was appointed to create the collateral suite including menu design, business cards, napkins, coasters, and a take-away post card. Both the brand book and collateral informed the interior design team in their creation of both the rooftop bar's space and signage. This project was my introduction to the expansive hotel project where I continued assisting in creating other collateral for both the hotel and the Thunderbird lobby bar during my time at B&Co.
