problem - My younger sister was in need of a visual identity for her filmmaking website. With her extensive portfolio of short films, music videos and more she needed a mark that would stand alongside her work and elevate her creative vision.
solution - Through my ideation process I landed on a hand-drawn design, highlighting the scrappy quality of her self-directed videos. Included is the primary lockup, wordmark, icon, and accompanying pattern. The icon and typography are both hand-drawn and rendered, focusing on the tactile quality of the film making process. The icon creates a blood droplet silhouette in the negative space between the arms of the figure holding a camera. Playing with the nuances and testing the attention of the viewer like many famous directors have done through time.
